Hyderabad: The door-delivery of fruits initiated by the Agriculture and Marketing departments received exceptional response from consumers, with about 408 calls to the call center and 70 WhatsApp requests on the first day itself. The officials received delivered fruits to about 2,500 persons at 1,370 locations in Hyderabad city within 24 hours after the scheme was launched. With growing response, the authorities introduced another phone number 91144 45555 in addition to the number 73307 33212 at its call centre and enabled consumers to place more orders. The officials are supplying about six types of fruits in a single pack at Rs 300 each. However, consumers must place a minimum order of 30 packs for their door-delivery.
