Patiala gets first 50k MT steel silos storage facility for grains

 The Food Corporation of India (FCI) has set up 50,000 metric tonne (MT) capacity steel silos storage helping Patiala overcome the problem of rotting foodgrain to certain extent.                   The Centre had announced to create 100 lakh metric tons of silo facilities across the country. Out of this 50,000 MT has been completed by the FCI in PPP mode, through a local firm MRB Patiala Storage Private Limited. Now 50, 0000 MT of wheat will be moved from vulnerable to safe storage.
